And I'm off!

DSC_0153.jpg

Well kids, in a few hours I'll be out of here and on my way to the British Virgin Islands to photograph Nick and Cathy's wedding in the amazing St. Thomas! Unfortunately it looks like I won't be able to post any updates while I'm gone (unless I sell my cameras to pay for the wireless charges), but as soon as I get back it'll be updates galore with weddings for Dominique & Chance, Jen and Aaron, Cathy and Nick, engagements with Dorothy and Zach, and even some fun family portraits (I've been busy).

I'll have a margarita for you all. Have a great week!

-Ryan

p.s. Yes, I'll be wearing that hat for most of the week.

Brian Summers Band Live

Last week I headed over to the notoriously cool Hotel Cafe in Downtown LA to take some shots of the Brian Summers Band. Luckily, before the set I was able to take some photos of the guys with my super favorite 50mm f/1.8 compliented with really cool street lighting. And although the band is currently without a bassist, when they got on stage they still managed to put on a pretty schweet set. The dude with the real-name-though-it-would-be-a-ridiculously-cool-stage-name, Billie Ray Childs II, is the man behind the drum set, while the uber-talented Brian Summers played the keys and guitar. Thanks to Billie and Brian for letting me shoot their set, and to the rest of you: enjoy.
